Help Us Reach The Ballet Alliance Festival!

San Jose Dance Theatre is proud to be a member of The Ballet Alliance, a prestigious organization that provides our advanced academy dancers with exceptional opportunities for training, performance, and professional development.

Each year, SJDT dancers audition for the opportunity to join our Studio Company and represent San Jose Dance Theatre at The Ballet Alliance’s annual festival. Selected dancers spend the season preparing choreography created by guest and resident choreographers, which is then presented for adjudication alongside work from other participating ballet schools and companies.

At the festival, our dancers take daily classes with distinguished instructors, participate in workshops and seminars, perform for their peers and industry professionals, and connect with dancers from across the region. The festival also provides valuable scholarship opportunities for university dance programs, summer intensives, and other advanced training programs.

For our dancers, this experience extends far beyond the studio. It challenges them artistically, builds confidence and independence, exposes them to new teachers and styles of training, and gives them a broader understanding of the opportunities available to them in dance.

Participating in The Ballet Alliance Festival requires a significant financial commitment, including registration fees, travel, lodging, transportation, and other program expenses. Your donation helps SJDT make this important experience more accessible to our dancers and allows them to focus on learning, performing, and growing as young artists.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps support the next generation of dancers and gives our students the opportunity to represent San Jose Dance Theatre on a larger stage.
